A client of ours has run into a problem with field values not summing correctly in a PDF (Sample.pdf below). When run in Foxit this calculation is evaluating correctly (though also incorrectly in Chrome). The values they are using can be found at ibb.co/bzhmGNW (notice that the final sum at the bottom gives .04 instead of .09).

I've created a very simple PDF with the same field and calculation structure (Sum.pdf below) which is showing the same incorrect behaviour. I've also attached a PDF (Sum2) which is the same but formatted to 6 decimal points. If you enter values into here you can quickly see the problem in the third field. For example enter 11111.23 into the first two fields and the sum will be given as 22222.460937. That's a pretty big discrepancy. The error in rounding seems to get greater the more digits you enter (seemingly to the left of the decimal point, though there's no clear pattern). For example 11.23 gives 22.459999 and 1.23 gives 2.46.

I thought this might be a bug in the Pdfium code, but the PDF not working in Chrome suggests otherwise. In any case can you think of any way around this? We really need (usually monetary) sums working correctly in our PDFs.

Is there any time frame for when this will be looked at?

We have a lot of clients/forms experiencing this issue.
